About The Meeting
This symposium is structured as a practical, clinically oriented review of ultrasound in obstetrics & gynecology. A mix of topics including fetal cardiac, central nervous system and renal imaging will be discussed. Gynecological focused topics include imaging in the first trimester, 3D sonography, the non-pregnant uterus and adnexae so registrants can expand their clinical practices. Tips, images, and pitfalls provide balance to the program.
Target Audience
This program is designed for obstetricians and gynecologists, radiologists, family medicine physicians, genetic counselors and sonographers, who order, perform and interpret ultrasound examinations in obstetrics and gynecology. The goal of this educational activity is to bring the level of practice for the health practitioners to a higher degree of proficiency in obstetrics and gynecologic sonography.
Educational Objectives
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
  • Assess the fetus in the first trimester.
  • Utilize ultrasound to assess patients with an adnexal mass.
  • Evaluate patients for the presence of Mullerian anomalies of the uterus.
  • Increase awareness of fetal cardiac anatomy and the assessment of the fetal cardiovascular system on ultrasound.
  • Discuss the use of ultrasound in evaluation of the fetal central nervous system and genitourinary anomalies.
  • Explain the concepts of 3D ultrasound and their utility in obstetrics & gynecology.
  • Fetal growth restriction.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

Course Organization
This program is planned and organized by Educational Symposia, the leader in diagnostic imaging education since 1975.
