This seminar is designed to provide a comprehensive and practical review of soft tissue, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, gynecologic and dermatopathology, as well as an overview of diagnostic immunohistochemistry and other ancillary diagnostic techniques. All faculty will discuss diagnostic pitfalls and pearls for an accurate diagnosis, as well as provide a comprehensive review of appropriate ancillary diagnostic techniques. About The Meeting
This seminar is designed to provide a comprehensive and practical review of soft tissue, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, gynecologic and dermatopathology, as well as an overview of diagnostic immunohistochemistry and other ancillary diagnostic techniques. All faculty will discuss diagnostic pitfalls and pearls for an accurate diagnosis, as well as provide a comprehensive review of appropriate ancillary diagnostic techniques. There will be significant time for interactive discussion between participants and faculty members.

This CME activity is primarily designed to educate practicing pathologists.

Educational Objectives
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
- Develop an approach to common morphologic patterns seen in soft tissue tumors.
- Become familiar with ancillary diagnostic techniques including immunohistochemistry and molecular diagnostics in the approach to difficult soft tissue tumors.
- Describe the most important diagnostic clues in arriving at a specific diagnosis in the most common patterns seen in soft tissue tumor.
- Develop an understanding of the characteristic histologic features that allow clear separation of the acute and chronic hepatitis patterns.
- Develop an understanding of the normal histology of the intrahepatic biliary system and how it is affected by a variety of cholestatic liver diseases.
- Develop an understanding of the utility of clinical history and laboratory findings in averting misinterpretation of histologic findings in medical liver biopsies.
- Learn and apply diagnostic criteria for difficult benign melanocytic neoplasms.
- Learn and apply diagnostic criteria for epithelioid and spindled vascular neoplasms.
- Develop an approach to common and important inflammatory diseases encountered by practicing surgical pathologists.
- Understand and apply the most recent International Society of Urologic Pathology/2016 WHO Gleason grading guidelines for prostate cancer.
- Be aware of and be able to diagnose newly recognized tumors of the kidney.
- Understand the importance of key pathologic parameters in the management of patients with T1 bladder cancer.
- Utilize the WHO terminology and histologic and molecular features for a variety of mesenchymal gynecologic tumors.
- Recognize the features that distinguish borderline ovarian tumors from carcinoma.
- Assess hormonally treated endometrial carcinomas and predict responsiveness to treatment.
- Become familiar with the rationale for and updated methods of endoscopic surveillance in inflammatory bowel disease, including the epidemiology of cancer risk.
- Become knowledgeable of the spectrum of gluten-related disorders and current optimum testing for celiac disease.
- Learn the updated epidemiology of cancer risk and Barrett esophagus and the current data on the efficacy of endoscopic surveillance.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

Tuition for live conference includes all course materials, including a comprehensive course syllabus (printed black and white syllabus or color e-syllabus), daily continental breakfasts and coffee breaks. Early registration is strongly suggested. There will be a $100 surcharge for anyone registering after September 28, 2016. Minimum and maximum attendance levels have been established for this meeting. If your registration cannot be accepted, you will be issued a full tuition refund.

Cancellations
Cancellations must be received in writing. A $50 processing fee will be applied to all cancellations. Refunds requested in writing prior to September 9, 2016 will be issued for the amount of tuition paid less the $50 processing fee. No refunds will be made on or after that date.
